Local Film Lovers Rejoice for Inaugural Buffalo Niagara Film Festival

LEWISTON, N.Y. — Local movie lovers are coming together for the first-ever Buffalo Niagara Film Festival in Lewiston this weekend.

The event is put on by the Buffalo Niagara Film Festival.

It offers a variety of independent films to viewers at Barton Hill Hotel & Spa.

Organizers say it’s a great way to partner with the Lewiston community to show creative films in an event that they hope to continue.

“Buffalo is really happening,” said Yvette Aragon, Buffalo Niagara Film Festival Executive Director. “It’s a great film industry and we want to make it better and if we collaborate better here, we’ll get a lot of people here to film.”

The festival continues Saturday. A series of films starts at 2 p.m. and again at 7 p.m.
