Immersion El Salvador demonstrates how an immersion trip can become a transformative educational experience. Students from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York traveled to El Salvador to learn first-hand about the struggles of the poverty-stricken, evangelical Christianity, and the inspiring story of Arch Bishop Oscar Romero, all through direct interaction with the Salvadoran people. The film documents the students’ journey of self-awareness and enlightenment as they explore faith, religion, culture, and justice in the Central American country.
